"Performance Benefits"
| |
Curb Appeal |
| |
A metal roof will provide an
immediate improvement to the looks of your home, but where metal
really excels is over the long haul. Metalfab's premium paint
systems carry warranties on color fade and chalking for at least 25
years. Another advantage is metal's inherent resistance to staining
from mold, mildew and airborne algae. The smooth, hard surfaces of
metal roofing make it difficult for airborne debris, dust and plant
materials to collect, reducing the likihood of unsightly organic
stains.

Lifecyle Costs |
| |
In most applications, a metal roof
will require no ongoing maintenance for the life of the roof. You
can forget about shingle bow-offs, cracking, buckling and unsightly
discoloration. If we use an average example of a metal roof with a
50 year life and an asphalt shingle roof with a 16 year life, you
can expect to save about 65% in total costs over the life of the
roof.

Green Product |
| |
Metals are exceptional building
materials that can claim both recycled content and recyclability by
industry recognized green building definitions. Additionally, metal
roofs can be 100% recycled once they are taken out of service.
Conversely, asphault shingles comprise an estimated 6.8 million tons
of landfill waste each year, nearly 3% of all municipal solid waste.

| |
Weather Resistance |
| |
Metal roofs have the highest UL
ratings for wind, fire and impact resistance and have been proven to
have superior durability in severe weather areas. In fact, Metalfab
offers roofs that exceed Miami-Dade county's 150 mph wind resistance
requirement - the strictest code in the U.S. In most areas, a metal
roof can be expected to last 3 or more times longer than asphalt
shingles. In areas with extreme heat, wind, humidity, or
temperature extremes, this advantage can be even greater.

Energy Efficiency |
| |
Metal roofs with Energy Star
certified high reflectance coatings have been proven to save up to
40% on cooling costs. These so-called "cool" coatings reflect a
high percentage of the solar energy back into the atmosphere,
reducing heat build-up in the house.
